Dramatic adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's classic coming-of-age tale about 15-year-old Harvey Cheyne Jr (Kenny Vadas), the arrogant and spoiled son of a railroad tycoon. Whilst travelling on a transatlantic steamship, the boy is washed overboard and rescued by a crew of fishermen. Harvey cannot convince the seamen that he is indeed an influential and rich person, but the ship's captain (Robert Urich) lets him stay on board on condition that he earn his keep. With no other choice, Harvey grudgingly accepts and the journey of a lifetime begins.
