Somebody please wring the necks of those two feckless morons to stop from them from breeding yet more dysfunctional brats whom will end up as worthless leeches like the parents are.
I am absolutley disgusted with this programme and sincernetly hope that you didnt contribute any of the liecnce fees money ot this delequant family. they weere in essence, complete idots. How dare they smoke and drink so much around 14 kids at home? Not surprised the other 6 left but when we saw one of them (who had A BABY SO NO SURPRISE)and another daughter who had baby. the whole house wAS FULL OF SHIT AND IT LOOKED DISCUTSING. hOW DARE THEY ASK A 14 YEAR OLD LOOK AFTER AND OUT TO SLEEP A 4 YEAR OLD.
i can not beleive that these people get away with this..the stae funding their booze and cigs. the kids need to be removed asap ...parents need to be put to sleep.they are a waste of space on this earth. and what happened to the poor dog they left in the street when they moved..i hope the camera crew made sure it was given to a rescue centre.poor kids..poor animal.
i know there are many more families like this ...what a world we live in.
The man is a "menace" to society with "no excuses" which he frequently "trots out", he says he "doesn't care", but he does, but only about himself!
He should be "ashamed".
He has deliberately "chosen" his life and should start taking responsibility for it, immediately!
Even the children make excuses.
The worst part about "this man" is, he is "intent" on "teaching his children" to survive ("by hook or by crook").

I'm one of mikes kids who doesn't live with him and for those people who think that my dad and his wife are a waste then you try bringing up 9 kids without a spot of trouble or mess no one is perfect they do what they do to surive just like the rest of the world!!!!!!! By the way the dog was the next door neighbours!!

What an enlightening programme. I was shocked at the squalor the children are living in. I believe the DSS has a lot to answer for in letting families like this claim more and more benefits to the point where the father is unable to get a job to support his family as the benefits paid outweigh any income.
I do think the children deserve a better home and chance in life and the parents do not deserve them. To be honest I agree with other comments on here that they should be shot...especially after playing with a bowie knife in the park at this time when knife crime is on the up. What an example to set!
I will offer to bring up on eor two of the children if they need a better home.
hi just to get my views and point across i lived with this man 4 years , he got 3 kids with my mum and they was married he was with her 4 the money tat it she was disabled and tat all he wanted was money! he treated us badly made us stave , beat up up and alot more ! hes a nasty man aqnd i hope who ever watched the programe sees the real him! all he cares abou is himself! dirty man u wil get wat u diserve in the long run! ur the fool coz my life been turned roun 4 the better ur the same nw as u was over 12 years ago ! get a bloody life and let them poor kids hw a life 2 !

A newspaper recently published the Top Ten towns in Britain that claim the most benefit, FOUR of them are in Wales. The sad fact is this family is not unique and the government know it, we must all write to our MP's stating we want an end to benefit except for people who really deserve it. These scum bags are bleeding the country dry.
I enjoyed this documentary and while I would not want to live next door to the family it was obvious the couple tried to do the best they could for their children and they all seemed happy. There are parents out there who are a lot worse and who purposely hurt their children.
People can complain all they like about the fact that this family may rely on state handouts etc but theirs is not a lifestyle I am envious of and if it means that I as a tax payer am paying towards their living costs in order to feed their kids etc it's fine because I prefer the way I live.

A brilliant documentary that broke my heart. I wanted to run over to the house and take all the children with me. I have been fortunate to have escaped such a squalid life and I hope that my children will too. For these poor children living in those kind of conditions and with parents who really do not wish to better their lives or their children, there is no bright future. And that's very unfair. I hope they can look further than this and change their lives for better.

I watched the programme and then went to bed, but did'nt sleep. I could'nt get them poor mites out of my head. What squalor they were living in, no sheets on the bed, filthy duvets and one of the children was only in a nappy throughout the whole programme and his little face always looked unwashed. I know when you have kiddies you don't expect a palace but you can teach your kids to be respectful and put things away after use. Every room was a total tip. I was totally apalled at the lack of concern with all the adults smoking in a small living room with all the kiddies and a baby! How selfish can you get. I could'nt believe Mike after being released from prison telling his kids off for swearing whilst he was away, but the only way he could get it across was swearing like a trooper himself! Both of them have no parenting skills other than to reproduce even more poor unfortunate offsprings.
I felt very sorry for the eldest girl, all she seemed to do was fetch and carry and cook for the kiddies, at her age she needs a life with youngsters her own age and have a job of her own. She is nothing short of a skivvy for her parents, looking after these poor mites after they have been so irresponsible in bringing all these lives into the world. People like that should be forced to have a vasectomy or be sterilised. In this case it would be better for him to have a vasectomy, then he could'nt father anymore kids by any other woman.
Both me and my husband work very hard and it peeves me to think that we are paying to keep that lazy drunken so and so out of work, so he can make babies, drink himself into a stupour and make his kids life hell. The comment about the dog saying it was a neighbours. In one of the shots the dog was in the house and when she went to collect him from prison, a comment was made about the police contacting them about the dog. So I don't think the dog was a neighbours. That is totally disgusting moving house and leaving a poor animal to defend for itself. That shows the mentality of this pair of morons.
I hope this dog was found a better home than living with that lot.
Please Social Services step in and check this out, you've hopefully seen the film, is'nt that evidence enough to remove the kids to have a better life elsewhere.

I totally agree with Lorraine. I too was unable to sleep after watching this documentary. Why on earth were the children not removed??? The dog certianly had a lucky escape!
Never mind the dad, that woman was such a bad mother. She forgot to put her child to bed??? Her daughter cooks dinner? Her other daughter had no where to do homework?
And if we do start on the dad, he says it's okay to steal from people if it's not family? So It's okay to mug me, even if what they take from me is important? He should have been left in jail to rot.

I am 1 of the 20 kids and my mam and dad do look after us you need to get to no us you cant judge us by that tv programme. people who no us would say the same. those bbc people put on the worse parts and they put half of it on like cos my sis dont always cook,i can do my homework now and my little brother was only young and he dribbles so wat do you want us to do shout at him 4 dribbling?
and when he was up stairs on his own he wasnt waiting to get to sleep cos the bbc asked my bro to wait behind the cam!
