I would love to arrange a surprise for my partner in redoacorating the bathroom and our bedroom. We have lived in our property for just over five years and are trying to do up our house but our bedroom remains at the bottom of the list. It would be a wonderful surprise for my partner to present a beautiful bedroom. It might entice him to bed earlier as he always falls asleep down stairs.I think the programme is great when it sets up a surprise for someone. The designs are always wonderful. I would like to know how to get a programme make over for my daughter, she is 42,married,she has FibroMyalgia, her husband is on basic wage, a daughter of 20 who has ADD and a son who is registered disabled with a knee problem, they live in a 3 bedroom Housing Association House in Worthing,West Sussex, My daughter was a carer and was just looking into going into Nursing when the disease struck, she has gone from a hard working mother to someone who sometimes can barely walk, and is in pain 95% of time, money is tight she spends all her time at home and though they have decorated it takes money and time.... and of course they do not have the expertise, her husband can take as long as 2 years to actually finish off the small details of decorating, I would be so grateful if there is anything you can do

I love every room that John Amabile does. I used to watch him on Carol Vorderman's UTV makeover programme too. My friend and I used to watch that programme and tell each other what we would like done to our house if it could ever happen but we always argued because we both wanted John to do the house. Has John ever published any style books or would he like to start. Keep up the good work John...

I would like my mum to have a 60 minute makeover because she is a full time carer of my granny, her mother and looks after me and my brother aswel. she never finds time to do anything for herself or to do any home improvements.
I never really watch the 60 minute makeover but today as I was walking to my nan's all I could hear was a voice that kind of reminded me of someone but as I got to see the television i saw my reception teacher on the T.V on 60 minute makeover my friend alix lives next door to my reception teacher she was her reception. I couldent believe it when I saw it. The name of the woman doing it for her daughter in law was called Jane but we call her MRS crocket.
I knew why she was doing it since her son paul died. At school we have a bench dedacated to Paul. This is a message to MRS Crocket saying thank you for all you have done for me a big shock just seing you on the t.v

Would you please help me to give my husband and kids the treat they deserve. I have just qualified as a staff nurse. i have had to study full time at university as well as working full time on placements in the hospitals. My children are only now 12 and 10 and the support from them and my husband was 110% even though at times i felt very guilty because my husband also has a full time job and works very hard. They are now all so proud of me and i would like to return the thanks and support that they have given me over the last 4years to make my dream come true.

I am writing to ask if you would consider doing my mum's home. She has been caring for her husband who has over the last two years had both knees totally replaced. Before he had his operation he always made time to do DIY jobs for me and helped all his friends with jobs around their houses. Since his first operation he has not been able to do any DIY jobs for himself or others which is a shame as his own home is in need of a total makeover. My mum never asks for anything but says how she would like her living room and bathroom to be redone. Both being OAP's I can't see this being done. Is there any chance that you would consider them. many thanks

i like the program, but what i have yet to see is a makeover in little flat or a terrace house, or council estate. is it only a certain criteria? if so, then it is totally unfair,as all the houses i have seen have been lovely large houses. how about giving someone a makeover who really could do with it.

Hello, I am asking if you could consider doing our house. My husband works very hard and he works away from home and he only comes home over the weekend. Every time he is home, he is ever so tired and thats when i go to work so i leave him with our son as work part time when he home. With this set up he has got no time to do any DIY. Hello my name is Louisa and I live with my adorable partner Paul in Brighton. Although adorable he nags me continually and also gets very stressed due to the fact we run a small business from home as well as both working full time. There are always boxes of stock lying around just due to a lack of space and storage. My poor Paul is so hard working often leaving for work at around 7.30am then returning at 18.30 and then working on our home business til 1am most days and all weekend. As you can see from this there is lack of time to do any DIY, even if we did have all the time in the world, my poor love cannot hang a picture. He would be so thrilled to be suprised like this. Hi, after 21 years of marriage my friend's husband left her out of the blue (this was shortly after telling her how much he loved her) so you can imagine how devasted and numb she felt. To top it all off he had put the house on the business and left her destitute. She found a new love but has not got the finances to do the house. Hi. I would love for my house to be considered for a makeover. Two years ago my husband and divorced and our house ended up being repossessed. My children,8 & 7 are now in rented accomodation. My daughter has high personal care needs and they have both been such a support to me(mum). Our house is in a poor state,damp,mould, poor decor and i would love to have their rooms done to show them life is worth it after all. and to say a huge thank you for being such wonderful children to me. I am the luckiest mum ever.

I would like to nominate my brother and his son Jamie who has special needs. Hugh's wife Ann passed away suddenly 4 yrs ago and it has been a struggle financially and emotionally for them both. Hugh doesn't keep good and had himself insured thinking he would be the first to die and wanted to make sure Ann and Jamie were financially secure. He is only able to work part time because of his health and the care of Jamie. Hi I am sat watching your programe 60 minute makeover whilst recovering from a major back operation, and must say it is truely amazing how your achieve the amazing results in just 60 minutes. I would love to nominate my boyfriends house to be made over as he has looked after me thoughout my illness, we have only been together for 17 months and in that time I have been in hospital several times and everytime he has travelled to see me, looked after my children and never complained even though he is very busy at work. I suffer from Fribromyalgia and have moved in with him along with my 2 children, he has two children which stay with us every other weekend and one night per week, having had back surgery I can not offer much help around the house and he has not time to even have his own time. I would be so grateful if you could change his life by doing this makeover that he truely deserves. My children have also been through a traumatic divorce and we ended up in rented accommotion for 4 years prior to moving in with jonny my partner, without jonny my children would not have the little extras that most children take for granted and that is because jonny as taken them on as his own kids. The kids and I would love to say a big thankyou to jonny to say how much we love him and show him that we appreciate him so much. Hello 60 minute makeover !! we are sixth form students from Stowmarket HIgh School. And we recently moved into the upper sixth common room at school and we were horrified at its state!
There are about 40 miss matched, broken and ripped chairs and tables that are simply unuseable. There is a dreadful stench from the old fish tank which was recently trashed by the older year. And with all our mr muscle and hard labour we can not remove the stains and chewing gum left all over the room.
We would really appreciate a lovely place to study for important upcoming exams, as well as a pleasent place to relax with our friends.
Our school does not hav sufficient funds to help us remodel our desperately needed space, so we are asking you, 60 minute makeover, please, please help us in our struggle. And reply back as soon as possible

hi, i want to nominate my parents bought. We live in norway, and for the last 5 years they have had a verry hard year. They lost a daughter for 5 years ago and bought my father and mother lost there morther. for about 4 years
ago our house burned down. Where we live now is a new house, but i doesn't has any tast. all the stuff is just mixed and nothing matches together. I really think that they have to get a change to some happines.

Im Kelly.. i would love to surprise my mom! shes done so many things for me and sisters and brothers. she has'nt got much money but trys her best. we just moved in a masoneat.. its not nice at all to be far.. a lot of work needs to be done. and its going to take my mum 2years to get it all done because looking atfer us and bills to pay.. plus theres not a room in the house wid wall paper or carpit which i find really up setting, knowing thats were we live. Hello 60 minute makeover,
I would love for my Grandad to have a 60 minute makeover. About 9 years ago my Grandad retied from the post office and he has struggled to cope with retirement. He was a very active man, bringing up five children and helping with his 5 grandchildren. Since his retirement his health has gone down hill and last year he had to have major heart surgery as he had a faulty heart valve which resulted in him being very ill. My Nan and the rest of the family have helped him as much as possible but he is a very independant man and struggles to ask for help.He now has to go back into hospital as the heart valve has become damaged in just under a year and will be undergoing emergency surgery within the next week. My Grandparents have lived in Surrey for 9 years now after leaving beind their home in Batterse and leaving behind very close freinds, one of whom died last week, which has really upset my Grandad. Their house is lovely and a lot of work has taken place however the bathroom really needs work. It has not been touched since they moved in. My Grandad has tried but due to his illness it is physically impossible. I would love to be able to give my Grandad something to take his mind off of the operations and to give him one less thing to worry about. I can see that there are lots of people asking for your help but I know this would make my Grandads day and it would give my Nan a break from worry about him trying to do too much. My Grandad has done so much for me over the years and I would love to give him something back.

I have a friend who has 2 sons aged 12 and 10 and would lov eforthem to be considered for their home to have a 60 minute make over. My friend and her sons have suffered drastically over the past 10 years due to the following. My friend married a really nice man who llater in life became alcoholically dependant, she has atruggled to work , raise her sons be the main bread winner and support her husbands drink problem. Ovr the years she has been subjected to struggling topay the mortgage and household bills while her husband drank. 5 years ago she divorced her husband and had to sell the marital home, she and her two sons moved into rented accomodation, where she had to rebuild their lives aswell as her own. LAter that year she was burgled and all her possessions including the childrens games they had received as xmas gifts were stolen and never retreived.She relocated to another rented accommodation where she was burgled a second time. With the family support she managed to obtain a home for her sons and try for a 3rd time to establsih themselves. The passing years were a struggle as the boys grew up she found it harder to cope and the family ahve helped with second hand furniture etc. It would be lovely to have her house made over and for the family to have a new look and comfort. Last year my friends sons lost their father where he was found dead in a hostel, she then had to deal with the funeral arrangements and the aftermath. It has been a tragic 10 years for my friend and her family and although her friends and family are supportive its difficult as we all have our own families and work ties, funding is a problem too but through all this she has tried to be happy and maintain some joy and stability in her sons lives. I hope you feel as we do and consider her home for a makeover.

He has being trying to decorate his property for the many years in fact he purchased the carpet and wallpaper 6 years ago and its still in the packaging !! He is a great character always helping others - he dog sits for friends, looks after his great grand son and is one of the kindest people you could wish to meet. I would like to nominate my son, Matthew, and his partner Sarah. When Matthew was 29 he was diagnosed with kidney failure. He had just moved into a rented flat with Sarah and they had had all their future to look forward to. The diagnosis was devastating. He was so ill for two years and couldn't work having to eventually go on dialysis. Throughout all this time Sarah was an absolute angel. She worked to pay the bills and supported him emotionally throughout this period.
I was tested to become a donor, but it was discovered that I had kidney disease and couldn't manage on one kidney. This was terrible news as we had believed that the transplant would go ahead. Eventually, totally out of the blue Matthew got a call from the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle to say that they had a kidney for him and the operation went ahead. We are eternally grateful to the donors family for allowing the transplant to go ahead as it meant that Matthew and Sarah could look forward again. They managed to buy a house in Ferryhill, but are struggling to do the things that they want to do to the house. This is the reason for my nomination as I feel they are really deserving and would really appreciate a makeover.

Hi, I would like to nominate my mother-law as she has been through a lot. Battling cancer in all differnt parts of her body for over 13 years, has had over 30 operations. Just less than two months ago she was diagnosed with Liver Failure which has knocked her for six she is now on the Liver transplant list and is currently on 15 different tablets a day which is enough to knockout an Elephant so ends up missing the whole day and I know it really hates missing the day because she is a natural busy body and it breaks my heart not seeing her as she used to be. Hi, I would like to nominate my husband bryan for a makeover. over the last few years we have taken care of my great neice Elly who was 5 at the time and is now 11. My daughter Louise split with her partner and moved back home with our grandaughter Olivia who is now 21 months old. Last year bryan had to have a cancerous tumor removed from his bladder, and still needs to go for check ups, he also suffers from diabetes.My daughter has had to have cancerous cells removed from her cervis, and now he is nursing me, after having a steel pin inserted in my heel and had my achilles tendon lengthened. I have been in cast for the past 8 weeks and hopefully willhave it removed in the next 2. He has been brilliant through all this and unfortunately he is left with all the decorating to do. Hello my name is emma and i work with with a wonderful woman called lynne evans, we both work in supporting living for metal health and homelessness, lynne has lived in her home for nine years and still hasn't got round to decorating due to time and money. Her lounge, hall, dineing room, and bedroom desparately needs a lick of paint or anything really. All the walls are semi painted or semi wall papered. I know this realy gets her down, also she feels sometimes embarassed to invite people and work coleges round, or if she does she constantly appologizes for the state of the house. Lynne really is a lovely giving and caring person who deserves to get a little back. She has two children and her husband is a hairdresser who also works lots of hours, and is not overly gifted in the deco department! My husband was diagnosed with progressive MS 3 years ago at the age of 40 and has had to give up work as he is now registered disabled, he cannot walk much and suffers pains and great fatigue due to his condition. We had to move to a smaller house as we could no longer afford the mortgage on our old one, and have been doing it up ourselves for 2 years now, I work full time, look after my husband and have been working on the house every holiday and weekends but it is becoming more difficult now as my husband cannot do much and I can only do so much myself, in between looking after him. We cannot afford tradesmen and have spent almost all of our savings. I have done most of the decorating and some tiling, but it is slow going now and lots of jobs that have been started need finishing, it would be so nice for everything to be finished then we could enjoy the house finally be able to relax in it. I know you receive hundreds of applications but thought I may as well try our luck, thank you for your time.

I watch your program every time it's on and love what you do to the peoples houses and love how happy the people look. 5 years ago my bestfriend was diagnosed with cancer and was given a very short time to live. In that time my mum and my step dad did everything they could for her to have the best last few months of her life. They got themselfs into abit of a mugle as they skiped a payment on there morgage so we could pay for places to go with Gemma (My best friend) unfortunatly my best friend past away but Im sure she was very greatful for all my parents did. Since then I have had 2 babies whome adore my mum and step dad. They do loads for them and make sure they get what they want and need. I just wanted to do this for her as she trys her hardest to design her house but doesnt quite get it right, and for all the things she does for me and my partner with helping out with the kids.

I would like to nominate my MOTHER for a 60 minuite makeover. The reason behind the story starts here. My young Aunt Jane (46) who is a survivor of a kidney and pancreas transplant was in full health and decided with her husband to buy their new home together, an old farmhouse with land, Jane is into her horses and wanted to have a small livery yard with the house so that she and her husband could take the slow life and make a living together from home, all going well they start to renovate their old house and getting well on the way with my MUM always over to lend a hand with the paintbrush anything she could do to help. If anybody needs help she is there, Jane started feeling tired with all the work so MUM was again at hand for her to help Jane look after her family and do the house. Jane became very ill and was rushed to hospital, we all got the terrible news that Jane now had Lymphatic Cancer due to the transplant. Janes house was only half finished with no heating no carpets etc. MUM made the immediate decission that Jane and her family (Husband and daughter) move in with her and my stepfather untill Jane has recovered. This all happened just before Christmas 2007. Jane is being cared for at MUM'S home 24/7 by MUM and Janes husband is now able to get on with renovating their home as he knows Jane is in good hands with MUM.
MUM and my stepfather have totally changed their lifestyle to cater for Jane and her family, MUM'S house now looks 'lived in' as MUM can not take time to worry about the house as Jane is far more important.
Jane has asked me to write to you to see if MUM would qualify for a 60mm as for Jane she can never repay the kindness her sister (MY MUM) has given her and we both feel this would just be the icing on the cake for MUM as she is so into her house and interior designs, not because she is MUM but you would not get a more deserving and grateful person!!! Hopefully the good news is that Jane is on her last Chemo and looking forward to the summer and life and her new house as the doctors seem fairly confident that she was caught in time......
Mums house is a nice detatched house but rather bland and a little old fashioned inside, she always watches the show with Jane and says how she would like to maybe try this style and that style etc. Her kitchen came from the newspaper but she and my brother fitted it together and it looks ok...... generally the house needs a style as I feel it is very bland and could look stunning if designed properly.

My Mum is Fantastic, she has been through so much these past few years, but still puts her own troubles to one side to help others
We moved from London to a place called Crewkerne to start a new life, just in the last 6 months my poor Mum has dealt with our home being flooded and us losing most of our possesions, her partner and her Aunt dying, my Nan having a heart attack and a car crash. But dispite all of this she tries so hard to keep a cheery out look on life, although I feel she is struggling.
I am off to Uni soon and she is so supportive asnd struggles on her own to make sure I never go without to the best of her abilities.
My Mum's dream was for us to have a nice home and we had just finished the lounge when it was destroyed by the flood.

I would love to be part of your show. I am just moving into a bungalow which is in need of some tender love and care. we have been lucky to have managed to get a council exchange from our one bedroom flat. We have vertually re-build the flat that we are in as it was in a terrible state when we moved in but being in a homeless situation we had no choice but to take it in that condition. Although lucky to get the exchange to the bungalow it is also in a truly bad state and will need lots doing to it. what a challenge. it would really be nice just to have someone to give us some ideas as to what should be done. We have had quite a struggle over the last few years. We had to come back to England from Spain because my mum was really ill, she since died. My partner who has been so supportive and has done all the work on the flat that it would be lovely to give hime the surprise of his life and have all this extra work done for him.

ihave a wonderful friend of 75 who always thinks and cares for everyone else, she visits elderly people in the area even though she is older than most of them, she has traced her lost brothers and sisters who were put into different home and has just lost q=one brother and two sisters, she tries to to do her own d i y but its really a mess bless her, her kitchen has all different cupboards and 1 work service, she says to me its ok "what uv never had you dont miss"she loves your show and watches it with a smile and us so pleased for them...look forward to hearing from you...its her dream and she is such a laugh. thanks alison x
i would love for your 60mm team to give my elder sisters house a brand new look. She was in a 10yr relationship with a man who turned out to be an alcholic and left her for another woman. She tried so hard to help him through the bad times but the stress over nearly losing her house because of his drink caused her to have a stroke at the age of 31 just 4 wks before my wedding in 2000. My sister works, does barbery at night school so she can qualify and maybe get a little bit more money come into the home to make a better life for her and the kids when she eventually passes her course. She is a fantastic mum and sister. She's put every penny into makin sure her 3 kids have got that she has nothing left to do the decorating she would realy like. I was wondering if you do your makeovers in NZ? My fiancee is extremely deserving of a makeover!He takes care of his handicapped brother,he also is the caretaker for his 2 nephews (ages 12 and 17)and his 14 year old son lives with him every other week. He lives in a very small cottage and initially had all 3 boys living in what should be a lounge. To add to his issues 18 months ago he hurt his back and was laid up in bed for over a year. He has recently just started going back to work on a graduated schedule. He is not on his full payscale and trying to run a household with 70% of your salary that barely covers bills leaves absolutely nothing for decorating. My little sister Ashanti 22 years old now, had her frist child at the age 15 she was still at school and still was able to do her GCSE after having her son. she then was in a very abusive relationship with her youngest child's father and she has now ended up as a single mother, despite having no help she has manged to qualify as a nusrery nusre and was working to save up so she could decorate her house but had to leve the job because her son was having problems at school so is now at home with the kids and is not able to decorate her 2 bedroom house that she lives with her little girl Ashiel that is 2 and her son kayden that is 6 and they share a room together. i feel that she deserves this as she has worked so hared as a young mum. We moved in to our six - bedroomed, semi-detached family home about three years ago now and whilst my parents have transformed the house into a palace compared to what it use to look like...they are at a lose end with the Kitchen and Dining Room and a couple of bedrooms. Hi, I would really love for you to do a makeover for my sister. She lost her daughter in a car accident three years ago and since then has been very down as you can imagine. She has ended up living very frugely and can only work two days a week as she still is grieving very badly. She simply can not afford to do anything to her house. Then got made redundant - all of the miney he was going to use on his house to get rid of the yellow and brown theme through out has been spent on living. I would like to nominate my son, Richard, and his wife, Kellie, for a 60-Minute Makeover of their Waterlooville home.
Richard is a London fireman and Kellie is an oncology (cancer) nurse in Portsmouth.
The alternate their four-day shifts so that one of them is always home to care for their children, Josh (5) and Lucy (1). Hence Richard and Kellie hardly ever have time together and seldom have any free time.
Richard tries to improve their home through D-I-Y but when he is home he has to care for the children.
Having a makeover to their home will greatly help this hardworking and deserving couple.
We are immensely proud of both of them. Kellie is such a caring person and has to deal with very sick people, including many who are terminal.
Richard has been a fireman for about 10 years and received a commendation for bravery on his very first shift as a fireman. He broke into a blazing 10th floor flat without pausing to fit breathing apparatus to save a young mother and her baby.
The commendation said he had "undoubtedly saved their lives through his quick action".
I always watched the show whenever I could, never ever imagining that I may seriously need your help, but I am takng a chance and asking. My partner had to have major heart surgery 14 months ago while he was in America working. What a nightmare, as he ended up in intensive care for 8 weeks after suffering 3 strokes following the surgery. He has just gone into hospital agan today to have a defibrilator implated. We had started some buildng work before and consequently all had to stop. I have tried to pick it up again and am almost at finishing stage. The final touches from your decorators and brilliant designers would be such a great boost to my partner who is understandbly depressed and a very sick man.

Me and my girlfriend purchased our house in 2007 as first time buyers, ever since cash has been tight I we've only been able to afford paint and a carpet for the stairs. With redundancy around the corner everything is on hold. I would love for 60 minute makeover to come in and change the bathroom, the dressing room, Kitchen and the dining room. Other than a lick of paint, these rooms are untouched and in radical need of change. The dressing room still has a winnie the poo border, the doors are starting to fall off the kitchen and the bathroom tiles look like there out of the 80's. He works 7 days a week and me and my 2 year old daughter hardly ever get to see him. Its a constant stress regarding the state of our bathroom, kitchen, front room and bedroom.

Hi i'm contacting the show hoping to have a dream come true for my parents.My dad had a double heart bypass a few years ago and is not getting any younger so diy and decor is a no no for him these days even though he still works hard in his 12 hour a day job. my mum is not very good on her legs which she does not like to admit because she is to proud. she is now a pensioner and still working at the local primary school because her pension only pays 22 pence a week yes you have read right 22 pence a week.They both also run the local social club for the community and pensioners free of charge they put so many hours in this for the local area and people they never give time for them selfs they even manage to take the pensioners to blackpool for the weekend ever summer and have a christmas party for the children in the area and take the older folk for a christmas dinner neither of them ever take a wage from the club because it has struggled to keep its doors open for the last few years.So i would love to give something back to my parents as they work so hard for everyone else i believe they deserve it so please could u help me make there dreams come true.

Hi, My mum is the best mum anyone could ever wish for and i feel hopeless as a teenager that i can't really repay her in anyway. Struggling with ill health and as a single parent, my mum has worked tirelessly to help my sister and i out, helping us out with our great number of extra activities whilst battling with a divorce and putting herself last in everything...consequently making herself very ill sometimes. At this moment in time i'm taking my GCSE's and she is still there helping me through each step, that i almost feel guilty that i can't be more selfless. My name is miesha davies and i am 14 years of age, my mum and i are forever watching your programe as it it is one of the greaats. my mum, dad and myself and my brother live in a 3 bedroom house but it is bought it needs so much work done to it but my mum has been in collage over the last year and my step dad is in work all the time my mum is 40 years of age,last year she went into hospital because earlier that year she woted to a baby with my step dad and after she had me she had her ovaries tied and she couldnt have them and last year she decided to have them undone again. After she had them done she was in a lot of pain she couldnt have any more children after her opertation the doctors told her she was unhappy after that for a couple of months she really wonted a baby with my step dad. she always watches your show and she always says i would love that done to my house. So thats when i came on here and asked niecly plaese will you make my mum happy and do a 60 minute makeover.

We brought our house 5yrs ago brand new and due to my wife having a misscarage the only way she could dell with this was to decorate the house while i was at work, with no experiance she messed up i didnt stop her as it seemed to take her mind off things, we have 5 children 2 of which are twins. My mums been having a really hard time lately.. both me and my sister have been ill and now shes just found out that her father has alzheimers and shes either working, driving me and my sister around or with my granddad. Also around 6 months ago her long term partner was a victim of a crime and had to leave his home and him and his children have been living with us. As my mum is always busy, the house is run down and in need of some tlc and i think a makeover would really cheer her up because she hates the house at the moment but cant afford to make it as nice as she would like.

i am wirting this because i would love to surprise my husband with a 60mm ,he has stuck by me through so much , we got together when i was 14 yrs old and i had gone through so much . i was sexually abused for 5 yrs as a child and he was my rock picking me up when i was down making sure i had everything especially love.we bought our house when i was 16 yrs old. we married when i was 20 .i found my dad at age 21 for him to not want to know me which was devastating and there again my husband was there to pick me up . we have 3 beautiful children , but alfie our youngest is under hospital care for infantile polycyctic kidney disease which sent me into more depression . i want to thank my husband for being there for me and this would make such a diference to all of us as we struggle to make this house a home . thankyou for reading this and considering us for your programme xx

Hi. I wish to nominate my Mum Ellain John for a 60 minute makeover. On September 1st 2001 Mum and Dad packed up their home and moved out to allow builders in to work on their home. 27 days later Dad died and the house was left in a bad way.
Mum has done what she can to make it into a home again. After the death of Dad she went through a period of caring for me as I was seriously ill, at the same time my brother who was 30 had a hip replacement.
Most people would have grumbled but not her.
In 2002 Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer and she coped with everything bravely.
She always says that "he never sends more than you can cope with"
Mum now belongs to a group of ladies called "Rhondda Breast Friends" and they raise money and help other people going through the same.You can see them on their website.
Mum has a very small house, 1 room downstairs 21*14 which serves as kitchen, diner and living space. Bathroom, bedroom and boxroom upstairs.
Mum loves the programme and John Ambala is her favourite designer.It would mean so much to her as she cannot do the things she used to do due to ill health.

Please please please help me. My nan moved out of the area 4 years ago and my mum has missed her soooo much since she moved. My mum has always wanted to get an exchange to where my nan lives but didnt want to leave her brother. About a month ago her brother sadly passed away. Because of this my mum has just put in for an exchange to be nearer my nan, the house we looked at is in a very bad state. My mum is always going on about what she is leaving as she does live in a very nice house now but just needs to be closer to my nan. I know that when my mum moves she isnt going to have the money to make the house the way she likes it. I have been saving so I can give her some money when she moves and hopefully that will help. My granddaughter 17 years old Stacy, gave birth to twins, December 08. By accident she got pregnant. Stacy has made us so proud of her by being a fantastic mother to her babies. She put her future career on hold, lives in a council house and has tried so hard to make the house a home, without claiming benefits from taxpayers. All her time is devoted to her babies. she has also brought chickens and veg to grow to help in the future and is working on building her own chicken run.
All furniture have been donated and she has been very grateful. The second hand washer & cooker causes problems, but she never complains. She has no carpets / flooring and has no time in her busy life to get the house to the standard she would wish for her babies and herself. She has no idea at all that i have wrote to you, but we all love her and are so proud of her. We all think she would deserve a makeover.

I recently had bad news in October last year and my mum has been so supportive in every way possible. My mum is coming up to 80 and is really active for her age. She does not realize her age and is always helping people.
My mum lost, my dad to cancer and then got cancer herself. She had to have an emergency hysterectomy due to a routine operation going wrong. And various other bits.
My mum is always going out of her way to help charity and is an active WI member.
If I was financially ok I would love to give my mum this gift, but sadly I am unable. I know my mum is really miserable with the house and nice advice and help on what to do.

omg were do i start ,to start with theres so many deserving peolpe on here!! but i,,ll try to put forward my mum, i really dont know were to start as my mum is one of the least selfless people i know ,, shed give her last penny to a man in the street,, and take in any waif or srtay,everyones mam is special, but i,am telling you mine is ,, she cooks looks after everyone babysits ,, looks after my 2 widowed aunts nephew, and lots of family stresses that we have had ,but also she never buys her self anything!! at all not even from primaark,, i just take her my old stuff round and as for furniture its so mismatched its funny !!! i go on at her but she just tells me to shut up and that its alright it will do ,,and as long as she has a meal and clean knickers thats alright ,, but she dose deserve some think nice and something for her self ,,she has a heart of gold if i give you a list of friends phone numbers i,am sure you would find the person she is ,, maybe she hasnt been ill as such but she does put with alot from us lot ! i just want her to be able to sit back and relax shes 69 !!! but young at heart shes a great laugh and kind and one of A kind, even if she did get picked if i told her we were going some where nice for the day she,d she she has to do the teas for dad and her grandson who lives there, honest she drives me mad sometimes ..lol,when i was younger all my mates used to say i wish we had your mam , shes so chilled out unlike me !!,my dads great to but carnt and has never ever ever done a bit of decorating in his life !! mams done it all looked after me and 2 sisters had 7 grankids over the years and now 2 greatgran kids plus used to work full time ,, and every night we had a home cooked meal after school sunday dinner for about ten everyweek 2 dogs a parrot cos no one wanted it !!and still never moans and i could go on and on and on ,but even if she is never picked i feel good cos i,ve written it down for her ,just to tell her how much i LOVE HER

hi can i nominate my 43 year old mum for 60 minute makeover, I think she deserves this as she has bin threw a lot these past few years. she split up with my dad and came to live with me then she got her own place , shes bin there 2 years now and its not complete . She has arthuritus in both arms and has had to have one of her bones shaved because of the pain , she has also been studying a level phycology and has just past her exams to get into university , so she has no money or time to do anything to the house , this for my mum would be a dream come true and i think she really deserves it .
i would like to nominate my sister Katie for a 60 minute makeover. She's 46 and has struggled all her married life. Just after giving birth to her daughter she had to have major brain surgery in her early 20's which left her paralysed down one side. Then last year she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy. despite all this she's the life and soul of the party but she's not had a life of luxury, always depending on other peoples cast-offs to furnish her house. I've decorated for her a few times but a complete makeover would be just what the doctor ordered.

My mum works full time and still looks after my kids while I go to work, also suffereing with osteo arthritis. She finds it very hard to keep up with the decorating, the kitchen and bathroom have not been done in many years. Hiya we would really love it if you could makeover our mums house. I am 12 and have 3 younger brothers who are all equally involved in this request. Our mum works really hard to provide for us.She has no job and we often have the rest of the family over for the day this means we have 7 more children and 12 more adults at our house. Hi everyone. my name is Dionne, and im 21 years old. I found out i was pregnant in february this year and the baby will be due on the 16th of november.
Im writing to you for your help.
Since finding out this news my partners parents gave us an out building that they said we could move into and do up to make it our home before the baby arrived.
Since feb we have saved up so much money so that we could start this project and when we did we found out that we needed to do more work to the property than we thought.
This meant that we had to go weeks with living on a budget of £20.00 because every penny we have had, we've had to use to buy materials for the property.
My mum and dad and other family members and friends have been so supportive and have helped us so much with money, painting, materials that they cant help us no more.
We are so worried now because there is no way that we can get it finished in time for the arrival of our baby.
We are currently living in my partners mums house because there's no where else we can live, and theres no way that we could bring a child up in here because theres only just enough space in our room for the two of us.
I never ever thought it would come to this but I desperatly, desperatly need your help.
Theres no one else that could help us now.
I really wanted to do this for my partner and his parents because they have done so much for me and i feel that this would take the pressure off both of them as well as me.
please please please could you help us.
This would be the best gift ever that we could give to our first child.
A home that we can live in as a proper family.
Please could you let me Know in some way if you could help us so we can still try to get the help we need to finish this.

My 13 year old sister, Naomi recently had a brain annurism 2 and a half weeks after my husband and I got married. Although she is recovering exceptionally well, for a while it was touch and go and because she had major brain surgery and will still be undergoing treatment for the forseeable future we are still not sure what the long-term implications will be.
Through all of this my husband, Mark has been a tower of strength to me and has supported me.
He is always thinking of new ways to reinvent our home, but at the moment we seem to be stuck in a rut. He always watches the show and I know he would love a 60mm. It would be the best way to say thankyou to him, would allow us to have a space for my sister for when she stays and would also be a great wedding present. Please could you help me.

My sons' appartment is so in need of a make-over - I wish I was capable but now nearing eighty I do have trouble with ladders due to osteoporosis and arthritis. He has suffered with forms of depresion following a medical procedure. Medical mis-management at 13 years left him suffering from Aspergers Syndrome. If his home was a little more inviting I believe it would give him an incentive to enjoy life and be a lot less depressed. I cannot spend more thn 15 minutes there without feeling totally depressed. Hi I know how very busy you are ,but it would be great if my Mum's flat could have a 60minuet makeover ,as she has just got out of hospital,it is a sheltered accommodation but she has to do the decorating or get some one in to do it.My Mum is 94,and her children all over 60.when she came out of hospital she stayed with me,when I took her back to her flat as we were opening the door,she said,did you have me staying at yours so the 60 minuet makeover team could decorate my flat, I would have loved to have opened the front door to see it done for her, her face would be a picture,and I know that she and everyone around her would be crying.She is loved so very much by everyone and doesn't just help her family but helps everyone .She doesn't want new things,just to have it all deccorated.Please help,thank you

Hello I'm michelle Williams I'm 21 years old would like to nominate my mum for 60minute makeover. She hase a disability where she shakes all down the left side her body and uses a crutch to walk. She can't carry anything with her left hand as it shakes frequently and also hase arthritis. I live by myself and have had some hard times and has looked after me very well. I would love the oppurnity to show her my appreciation and see if there was a possibility of getting her onto the show. She hase a tiny 2 bed house on a council estate and would love to have her bedroom decorated to fit her needs. could you please tell me after watching your program are allowed to put a flat screen tv above afire as i dont want my house insurance to be void day after day i watch your programs and they put tvs above fires is it ok because im worried incase it breaks thanks
sorry never got a reply we watch your program all of the time are u allowed to put a flatscreen tv above a gas or electric fire staff in shops say no but use do it every program we are worried our insurance wont pay outhave you had any problems with this this is what we want to do when we decorate thanks

Hello 60MM ,I realise that you have so many good reasons to not choose my sister as there are so many needy people but i think my sis could do with your help not just to sort her home out but as she suffers with bi polar the least little thing can have an negative effect , she works and tries her best to just get on with things ,she has three children and is very proud of her grandson . she is going through a divorce for the 2end time due to her husband who came out of the army with pts from iraq she tried to cope with his illness and hers but they split through the strain.she has always looked after vunrable people , she worked with the mentally ill, homeless anyone in crisis for 18 years,she now works with prison offenders in a probation hostel, she is a very giving person. lost her home through this and now has a very small two and a half bedroom house in llantrisant , mid glamorgan s.wales. please can you help i could tell u much more that would make you understand how bad things have been for her in the last 6 years

Hi I support The Ray Kennedy Appeal..or it can be called The Ray Of Hope Appeal...more info can be found on the net. Ray Kennedy was a footballer who took parkinsons disease, he's on his own and needs his house upgraded, he rarely leaves the house except for hospitial appointments, he has to take a lot of medication for his symptons, he gets comfort from people sending him letters which have to be read to him. What a terrific surprise this would mean to him. I would'nt like to be house bound myself, he hasn't much mobility now and has speech problems etc.Please consider Ray Kennedy who truely deserves this makeover, it will make a big differance to his lifestyle....I do hope someone reads this message and can help out in any way possible......ps Ray had to sell all his football shirts...trophies...medals...to just get by...many thanks for reading this Elizabeth Hargreaves a Ray Kennedy Supporter

I would like to put my sister up for 60 minute makeover. She has tried very hard to pay for her 2 bedroom flat to be refurbished and decorated for her and her young family of two girls and one boy who are all at primary school and live in South London. Unfortunately she had been let down with bad workmanship and now a lack of funds, things in the home have gone from bad to worse and she has no more means to pay to put things right. She is a very kind giving indiviual and it would be fitting for someone to do something nice for her.

I would like my girl friend of 2 years, Mandy, to be considered for a 60 minute makeover. Over the 2 years prior to us getting together, Mandy had a turbulent time with a violent & drunken partner, whom eventually tried to strangle her whilst she was pregnant with their baby, forcing her to try an leave their flat via the balcony and falling 13feet, breaking her back, heals and heartbreakingly losing her baby who was born at a little over 20 weeks, surviving only a matter of days. After an obviously horrendously difficult time, Mandy has re-built her life, and we're now the very proud parents of our daughter, Bethany. I would like to nominate Mandy due to the strength courage she has shown to get through such a traumatic time.

Hiya my names debbie would love to nominate my sisters home for a makeover.It was our family home were we spent most of our teenage until we all grew up and flew the nest so to speak.However my second eldest sister stayed with my mum.That was until she passed away age 52 of a stroke.Losing our mum devestated our whole family we lost our rock for my sister however it was a really tough time living alone with her daughter havin to cope on her own.Then she had her second child who was born with a very rare heart condition who spent a conciderable lenght of time in hospital after having open heart surgery.She has nt the money to redecorate and her house could do with being turned into a beautiful home for her and her two kids she deserves nothing less.Please please please concider her for a 60 minute makeover. i would like to put my mum up for 60 minute makeover as 6 years ago she feel very ill, due to her condition she had to have a life saving operation, whilst just 24 hours away from death, since then she has slowly bin able to get back on her feet. within the last year she has goneback to college, and also started back at work. i am very proud of her, she always puts every one else first.
She has now bin with her partner for over a year and will be getting married next year, she is always going on about how the house needs doing up and i think it would make her so happy.
this is why i feel my mum deserves to be on 60 minute makeover.
I wondered if it would be possible for my mum to be considered for your show. after raising four children and looking after all of the ten grandchildren so we as parents could go to work, and surving a brain tumour, she has always given and has never taken a thing from us. she has lived in the same house for over 17 years and it still has the owners old carpets on the floor.all we could afford to help her was to splash some paint on the walls. which she was very happy with, but I feel she is need of a REAL TREAT, she volenteers at our local hospital 2 days a week, and is ALWAYS on hand to help others it would great if you would consider her for a future show. she such a wonderful lady/mum/nanna.and I LOVE HER TO BITS

My daughter loves your show and has always said she would love someone to do it for her. She has two children, and has suffered from depression for over 13 years now. She runs after me and my husband and does everything for us. She is so kind hearted and does so many things for others, and for once she deserves someone to do something for her for a change. She has to do her own decorating as her husband is a farmer and he is too busy to ever do anything at home and she can't afford to pay anyone. She also has a very bad back and can barely walk somedays. I know you get alot of appeals for makeovers, but I really think my daughter deserves it - she is one in a million and I couldn't do without her.

hi, i would like to get a makeover my mu mums house, she is currently going through a devorse at the moment ans is struggling to bring myself and my sister up, pay the bulls, and try and get my house straight. We moved in here 5 years ago and my father promised my mum that he would get it dont but he hasn't, he has mooved out about 2 years ago and my house is falling apart, my sister is only 7 and needs a stable home to grow up in, i have applied for this type of thing before and had no luck i have been trying to do it for about a year and a hath now. I hear my mum crying at night on the phone saying i just want my house to be a nice place to live, so i can have people over without constantly saying sorry for the state of the house. there is a hole in my kitchen floor, and the utility room and garage roof leaks when it rains and soon thee wont be a wall there because it wiil rot away. my mum and dad are pensioners.recently my dad went into hospital for 3 months and came out a changed man.my mum spends all her time looking after him and supporting my siblings and myself.my dad always done the diy but now he aint fit enough to do so.he suffers from angina and a slight form of dementia due to negligence in hospital. it totally ruined there quality of life.my brother has suffered from a mental illness for 27 years and i myself have been struggling with addiction for 17 years, however, i have now been clean for 4 years. i would love to show my mum how much she is appreciated, she's been a tower of strength for all of us, she regularly cries at your programme when she sees the end results. i realise you must get pages and pages of requests so all i can ask is for you to give my brief note a lot of consideration. thank you so much for taking the time to read my request.she even took on her grandson when i wasnt able to do so, she's certainly a diamond in disguise and i would love to show her what she means to us all.....ps..we live in sunny glasgow so i hope this wont be a problem if my dream were to come true x

I would love for my sisters home to be visited by the 60 minute makeover team. This I know would make her feel appreciated, for all the times over the past 44years that she has cared for family members. from our grandparents to her grandchildren today. What little money she has is spent on her family, and not on their home. Yes not being able to get the home as she would like it does get her down, but in her eyes family comes 1st, then the home. My sister is 63yrs old now, and often says, she will never be able to afford to decorate, because everytime she gets some money together there is always something else that she feels is more urgent than to decorate their home. If you would concider my sisters home for a 60 minute makeover, we would both be eternally grateful.

She's had a rough couple of years and could do with a spruce up which i think would give her just the self-esteem boost she so badly needs. After trying and trying for a baby she's 5 months pregnant but her house is in a state of disrepair and she and her partner are crippled by mortgage payments and can't afford much - her partner has been working 2 jobs, 7 days a week for the past 2 years. Pregnant and knackered i found my friend refitting the damp plywood and replastering the bedroom the other day after her wall crumbled. not something a pregant woman should be doing with all that dust, but there was nobody else to help her. Would love to give her the surprise of her life - she's one person i think really, really deserves it, she's always there for me and is a great friend to all who know her. Hello 60 minute makover, I was wonering if u would possably be able to help a very good friend of mine her name is Tracy and she is a single mother of three. She has been through so much in the last 3 years her younger son Callum was diagnoised with Leukimea 2 years this September, 1 year after her son was diagnoised she had a stroke luckley it didnt parralise her. Iv known Tracy 4 years now and she is one of the kindest, warmest harted woman i have ever known. Tracy and all her kids deserve a makover in there house she offten decerates her house but it is never quite as she wants it, It will be very nice if you and your team will visit Tracys house and make there house alot warmer and confortable for them? appriceate a 60 minute make over for my mum and dad as a treat we live a normal basic house and they are always going on about how much the whole house needs doing especially their room ans they are always arguing about money and it makes me cry hearing them argue. Our family dream would to have a dog but they are saving up for a whole house redo and mine and my brothers dreams have been crushed over this house redo it really upsets me. We are also trying to save up for my nan as she is ill and needs a lot of medical attention. My dads work is quiet and my mum only works a couple of ours so they are not getting a lot it will take years for this house redo especially with my nan as she is i would really appricate a make over , thanks you it would me the world to us! x

i noticed on 1 on ur previous shows that u helped out a lady with a young child who has a tracetostemy and straight away i knew i could call on u for help.
my sister has a 7 mnth old little boy who has 1 fitted...Rhys was born 2nd march 2009 7wks early....my sister is a lone parent and also has an 8yr old son....before my sister had Rhys she worked full time and fitted work and parenting in perfectly....she never asked for anything and still now she doesnt....she cannot work now as her son has the tracky fitted and has very little help around her, the goverment do not provide her with much care at all she gets 4hrs a week respbite which i feel isnt enough.....my sister finds it hard to do the basic things in her house and struggles to find the time to do anything whilst caring for her 2 children by herself.....i feel my sister could really do with ur help as her house has been very neglect and now she has so much equiptment for the needs of her son she is finding it hard to find the space....i admire my sister for what she has gne through and she never asks for anything off anyone...id love nothing more than to give my sister this present to show her that she is thought of so much and that she deserves a break in life.....she'd prob go mad at me for doing this as she doesnt like asking for help but she may not like asking but i feel by asking then maybe u'll get somewhere....i really hope u can get back to me and help my sister .....she means so much to me this wud be the best gift i cud give her, many thanks for taking ur time on reading this it means a lot to me x........maria wood from shrewsbury xx

I love your programme and was wondering if i could have a 60 minute makeover. I'm 14 years old and i have a brother and a sister. I would love to have a 60 minute makeover because it would be a lovely surprise for my mum who has been through alot in the past 10 years. i really think they do a good job do the people have to pay so much money towards it
