The investigation leads the team into a strange world of sexual fetishes. Elsewhere, Sara and Nick look into the death of a man found frozen in a walk-in freezer.

Fur and Loathing. (Series 4, episode 5)
Brian De Palma's crime drama, based on James Ellroy's novel, is based on a true life murder in Los Angeles in 1947 of a would-be actress, found dismembered. The case was never solved. Assigned to investigate the murder in this fictional tale are homicide cops Leland Blanchard and Dwight Bleichert. Dubbed Fire and Ice because of their differing temperaments, Bleichert finds his investigation leading to the city's lesbian scene at a club run by Madeline Linscott while Blanchard has his hands full with his flighty wife Kay. But the pair's persistence begins to pay off as they find themselves moving among some of the city's wealthiest citizens, who are eager to hide their own secrets.
