Animated comedy series following the hilarious adventures of a working class, semi-dysfunctional nuclear family in the misfit city of Springfield. Bart and Lisa both take a career test that finds out their ideal jobs in the future. Bart is pegged as a cop while Lisa is diagnosed as a homemaker. While Bart's new found taste for authority gets him a job as hall monitor, Lisa becomes a rebel without a cause.

Dog of Death. (Series 3, episode 19)

After lottery fever hits Springfield, Santa's Little Helper is diagnosed with a twisted stomach and needs an expensive operation to fix it. The Simpson family dig deep and make sacrifices to pay for the operation, and although Santa's Little Helper is cured the family suffer, and blame the poor dog for their misfortunes.

But Homer spends more time with Lurleen than his family, causing Marge fears that he is having an affair with Lurleen.
