Kate is always such a cheerful presenter. They filmed in Oman in June last year – a bit hotter than ideal but amazingly they came in a cooler week. I hope Oman and Yemen will get a good overview from the series.

This is going to be a brilliant series. Kate's presentation on this, the first programme, was amazing. I felt I was travelling with her on the frankincense trail even better without the heat ! Can't wait for the next.

Why is it that so many of these travel programmes, especially to out of the way places mainly surrounded by males, are fronted by females, usually young, attractive and of course confident. This one I find paricularly embarrassing and ignorant to say the least. Anyone knows Muslim women, especially in Arab countries, are usually separated from the men and dress modestly. We also know about Saudi Arabia's strict rules. The presenter's behaviour was, to say the least, inappropriate, especially with the camel train, when she was trying on the burquha and in Saudi Arabia. No wonder foreigners have such a 'high opinion' of white English women. Thanks a lot.

A fabulous programme full of Colour and History of the Trail in unusally unseen places. Fascinating and cannot wait for Part Two next week. Kate is also a remarkable presenter. From an avid armchair traveller.

The presenter behaviour shows such ignorance and lack of understanding of different cultures that amounts to insult. It hurt to watch one episode with empty sentences full of western patronising remarks. I felt ashamed being represented by that woman.

I just managed tonight to be enlightened by next remark: she thought that the pyramids were hollow!!! Who the hell sent this woman outside Britain!

Wonderful scenery but the presenter needs to dress appropriately-skimpy gear and mixing so freely with locals-no wonder western women end up being harassed!

Have just seen the last programme in the series tonight and we wish to say how enjoyable it was to watch, Kate Humble and the camera team deserve to have an award in recognition of their hard work, Kate was so relaxed and humble at times, it was a really enjoyable and moving, so sad there is such conflict. Feel it should have gone out nearer to Christmas!!

What a marvellous series! Sadly we were away and missed the fourth and final part. Is there any chance of issuing it all on a DVD, or rebroadcasting the series? That would be brilliant.
