Mountains and Plains

Series 1, episode 4

Stephen Fry continues his journey across America, visiting the airborne border patrol agents at the Canadian border in Montana, and then heading south to the Mexican border in Texas, all the while admiring the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Along the way, he encounters Ted Turner and his 50,000 bison, meets Wyoming ranchers who have particularly close encounters with wolves and bears, takes a ride through the snow on a dogsled, and enters a bizarre home in an underground missile base.
