Stephen Fry journeys across America in the first of a six-part series, meeting all manner of colourful characters along the way. Almost born and raised in the USA - His father turned down a job at Princeton shortly before he was born - Stephen has always been fascinated with the country that he would have called home. He begins his journey with the states that comprise New England, before heading to the nation's capital and ending up at the battlefield of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
