Rory and Paddy's Great British Adventure

Running Time: 60 minutes (approx)

Comedians Rory McGrath and Paddy McGuinness travel the UK in a camper van to seek out the country's strangest sporting events. Determined to explore the hidden athleticism within every possible town, village and hamlet, they compete in many weird yet quintessentially British sporting endeavours throughout the series. In the first episode they indulge in a little cheese rolling in Gloucestershire, plus snail racing, shin kicking, and an East Anglian speciality: dwile flonking.

I'm a PE teacher and deliver the History of Sport to the A level pupils and would love for them to watch the series but have only just heard about it. Is there any way of getting a copy of the programmes?

    Thanks

Hi- We love the idea of eccentric British games being featured. Out of interest-and possibly to bear in mind for a future date, do have a look at the Smite! website.Smite was launched in Cornwall in 2005 (sort of traditional!) and last year the World Champs in St. Neot attracted 177 entries. The photos on the website give an idea of the bucolic (and alcoholic!) nature of the game!

Looking forward to the rest of the series..Great stuff...Roger Daniel (The Smitemaster)
