Northern Exumas of The Bahamas. (Episode 12)
In the Northern Exumas, Paul and Sheryl discover the wild natural Bahamas. The Bahamas Land and Sea Park has been established here to preserve the diversity of marine and wild life and provide a safe haven for these species to breed and flourish.They meet the Park Warden, a "washed ashore" sailor who introduces them to wonderful reef life including swimming with turtles and on hikes around the islands here they learn about the plant and reptile life. In Hawksbill Cay they explore Loyalist plantation ruins and conclude their voyage in Nassau in time for the Labour Day Parades and celebrations.

Trent-Severn Waterway And Lake Ontario. (Episode 13)
Summertime is hurricane season in the Caribbean and Bahamas so Paul and Sheryl travel north to Canada for the summer where they explore the lakes, rivers and cuts of the Trent-Severn Waterway in the province of Ontario. They take down the mast in Lake Simcoe and learn how to safely go through over 40 locks in the Canal including 2 unusual lift locks.They pass through picturesque towns and historic villages, meeting the people and participating in summer festivals on their way to Lake Ontario and the waterfront city of Toronto.

West Coast of Turkey. (Episode 1)
Paul and Sheryl Shard return to our screens for more exciting sailing adventures. We join them skirting the west coast of Turkey, through the beautiful blue Aegean Sea, en route to the exotic city of Istanbul, 'Gateway to the East'. First port of call is Sigacek where they hike through olive groves to the ancient ruins of the Ionian city of Teos, take a Turkish bath in a natural hot spring and browse the bazaar in the town of Ayvalik. And Paul has a hair-raising experience when he discovers that Turkish barbers use flames as well as razors to give you a shave.

Passage to Istanbul. (Episode 2)
Paul and Sheryl Shard embark on more exciting sailing adventures. They continue north along the Turkish coast heading for Istanbul, fighting strong currents as they sail up the Dardanelles, stopping off to visit the war memorials at Gallipoli. In the Sea of Marmara they encounter squalls and seek refuge at Marble Island, where even the town quay is made of marble. Arriving in Istanbul, they sail past famous monuments such as the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace en route to Atakoy Marina, their base for exploring the old city.

Istanbul. (Episode 3)
Paul and Sheryl Shard continue their sailing adventures around Turkey. Settled in to the Atakoy Marina in Istanbul, they begin their exploration of the old city where they stock up on exotic spices at the market, run from touts at the Grand Bazaar, one of the world's oldest and largest covered markets, and are captured by a carpet-seller near the Blue Mosque, Istanbul's most famous monument. With local friends they learn about Turkey's fashion industry, sample traditional Turkish foods and discover the nightlife in the Taksim district, where Sheryl has her fortune told by a rabbit!.

Mytilini. (Episode 4)
Today, Paul and Sheryl Shard make landfall in Greece at the port of Mytilini, on the island of Lesbos, home of the Muses and poetess, Sappho. They take a scooter, along the coast to the see the Theophilos museum of art and then set sail with their boat to explore the island's two gulfs, Kalloni, where the most delicious sardines are caught; and Years, famous for its olive oil and soap. At Skopelos a local child takes them on a tour of the church's catacombs and they celebrate the Festival of Ay Marina with a blessing of food.

Plomari. (Episode 5)
The Shards arrive on the Greek island of Plomari on the first day of the annual Ouzo Festival. A local couple take them along the coast to see a hidden church in a cave, surrounded by healing natural hot pools and to sample 'mezedes', the Greek version of tapas. Next day Paul and Sheryl rent a jeep to explore the inland forest roads and towns, drive to the top of Mt Olympos, the highest point on the island, and end their visit by attending the annual horse festival.

Passage to Chios and Inousses. (Episode 6)
The Shards continue their Greek Island odyssey with another visit to Lesbos, anchoring in the Gulf of Kalloni, before reaching the port of Sigri, where they explore a former Ottoman Turkish castle and the amazing Petrified Forest. They head south for the small island of Inousses, home to many Greek shipping magnates, and on to the island of Chios, where they learn to harvest the aphrodisiac mastic and visit the village of Pyrgi, where the locals are celebrating the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.

Samos and Fourni. (Episode 7)
The Shards continue their voyage south through the North Aegean islands of Greece, and arrive at the small island of Fourni, where they explore an ancient Greek marble quarry and dive to the marble ruins. They then sail on to the island of Samos to meet up with geologists Myrsini and Dionysis Matarangas and visit the Temple of Hera and the Efpalinio Tunnel, a 1040-metre aqueduct built in the sixth-century BC. The island of Samos has a long history of boat building, and the group drop in on a local builder still creating traditional 'caiques'.

Patmos, Marathi, Arci, and Lipsi. (Episode 8)
The Shards set sail from Samos and cruise the island group surrounding Patmos in the Dodecanese region of the Greek islands. Their first stop is Lipsi for provisions, then it's on to Marathi, home to just a couple of families, but with several excellent tavernas for visiting boaters and day-trippers. Their final stop is Patmos, where they hike up the island's rocky pinnacle to the cave where St. John the Divine is said to have received the New Testament's Book of Revelations.

Leros and Agathanisi. (Episode 9)
Paul and Sheryl Shard set a course for the small, remote Greek island of Agathanisi, where they enjoy a meal of fresh local vegetables and cheese. Then it's south to Leros, an island whose bays offered protection to the Italian, German and British Mediterranean fleets during WW2. The first port they visit is Pandeli, a small waterfront village dominated by an old crusader castle. They wander the wide streets of the unique Art Deco town of Lakki, and stop off in Partheni on the north coast of Leros, location of some of the island's best beaches.

South Coast of Turkey. (Episode 10)
From the Greek island of Leros, it's an easy hop for Paul and Sheryl to the Turkish town of Marmaris, where they clear customs and begin a cruise along the beautiful south coast, a haven of bays, coves and beaches, popular with sailors and holidaymakers. After exploring ancient sites located in numerous bays, they return to the Marmaris marina, where they leave their boat to travel inland to the unique landscape of Cappadocia.

Marmaris. (Episode 11)
From Leros, it's an easy hop to the town of Marmaris, one of the most popular beach destinations in Turkey as well as the country's largest yachting centre. At the marina, the Shards meet a local family who teach them how to prepare regional summer foods, introduce them to the nightlife of the town, and the delights of the forested countryside where they go almond-picking. They also swim in a waterfall, learn about Turkish herbal remedies and participate in a village ritual that promises a long and happy life.

Turkey's Turquoise Coast. (Episode 12)
Leaving Marmaris and the Aegean Sea, the Shards sail along the south coast of Turkey to the Mediterranean. Known as the Turquoise Coast it has numerous bays and coves and amazingly clear turquoise water - a paradise for watersports enthusiasts. Paul and Sheryl explore the ancient sites along the shallow Dalyan River with a riverman from the village of Ekincik. At the ruins of the old port they explore an ancient Greek temple to Hera, a Roman amphitheatre and bathhouse, and a Christian basilica. Up river they see the Lycian cliff tombs and observe a variety of wild life including turtles and birds.

Rhodes. (Episode 13)
The Shards continue their sailing adventures where today they return to the Greek islands and the strategically positioned island of Rhodes. Its lack of good harbours is still a problem for visiting seafarers today, and the Shards raft up with many other yachts in front of the town quay to explore the well-preserved medieval city and the 'new' town, which formerly housed Greek Ottoman natives during the rule of the Ottoman Empire. They visit the Palace of the Grand Masters, enjoy the island's beaches and learn about the local marine biology at the Aquarium.
