Paul and Sheryl Shard return to our screens for more exciting sailing adventures. We join them skirting the west coast of Turkey, through the beautiful blue Aegean Sea, en route to the exotic city of Istanbul, 'Gateway to the East'. First port of call is Sigacek where they hike through olive groves to the ancient ruins of the Ionian city of Teos, take a Turkish bath in a natural hot spring and browse the bazaar in the town of Ayvalik. And Paul has a hair-raising experience when he discovers that Turkish barbers use flames as well as razors to give you a shave. When is Distant Shores next on TV?
