Charismatic Aussie adventurer Alby Mangels has spent the last 25 years exploring remote destinations around the world, living with natives, hacking through jungles and getting close to nature. Alby traverses the Amazon basin to the fascinating city of Manaus, visiting local Indian villages along the way. En route to Peru, he has an accident with a bus and spends 3 months in hospital, before returning to Australia. Back on the Trans-Amazon Highway, his trailer falls apart and, bogged down, it takes him 14 days to cover 100km. Deciding to dump his jeep, he finds an Indian village and buys a donkey, then crosses the Peruvian border with the help of an Indian guide.
