Chicago-based daytime talk-show host Oprah Winfrey invites a guest panel to discuss a topic, in front of a studio audience.

Born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, Oprah herself has had a very successful career staring in films like "Beloved", and "The Color Purple", appearing on many magazine covers, like Vogue, and presenting the Emmy Awards and The Essence Awards.

Her show has been an all round success mainly down to the topics that are discussed. They are often sensational from gossip about your favourite stars like Jim Carrey, or Nicolas Cage to the mysterious, like Willie, the wonder dog with the 'sixth sense' who saved his owners life!

The issues can also be very controversial with Oprah even going one on one with George W. Bush asking questions that the audience and viewers really want to know. She also gives 'normal' people the chance to have star makeovers and other delights.
