Jake is unsure about returning home, but Dr Sanders informs him that he is arranging for his immediate release. The news doesn't please most of the inhabitants of Hollyoaks, though Frankie eventually realises that she is concerned for him. His release also causes problems for Hannah, who reveals to Loretta that she wrote to him, in the guise of Nancy, while he was in prison - and is now worried that Nancy will find out. Meanwhile, a tired and confused Newt is on the run with Eli, who tells him he must hide and leads him to a derelict warehouse. There, Newt talks an apparently suicidal girl, Rae, down from a high ledge. However, his heroic act may have unforeseen consequences.
