Sick and tired of their apartment, Will and Grace start looking for a bigger place to live, but the only apartment that is good enough for them is way above their budget. In order to afford their new place, Will and Grace decide to sub let their current apartment, which will help them afford the new one. They invite their friends Rob and Ellen over, and they see in Ellen's wishes of moving back to NY to raise their new child the perfect opportunity to push the place to someone they trust. Meanwhile, Jack starts to make a movie about Karen's life for her birthday, with Rosario as the cameraman, and investigates on the whereabouts of Karen's mother. He finds her and brings her to the movie presentation to Karen, but she is not too happy to see her mother.
