JD decides not to start dating again until Elliot does, but doesn't expect the person she starts dating to be his brother, Dan. When JD catches them sleeping together in the on-call room, things get a little awkward between the three. Elsewhere, after being diagnosed with diabetes, Turk milks every ounce of sympathy out of his friends, and Dr Kelso and Dr Cox forge an uneasy alliance in their common emnity of Molly.
