With his pre-med behind him, it's John "J.D." Dorian's first day as a medical intern at the busy Sacred Heart Hospital. Things go from bad to worse for J.D. and his best friend surgical intern Chris Turk, and he finds little support from his colleagues - chief of medicine Dr Bob Kelso and attending physician Dr.Cox.
