While experimenting with a matter replicator Kryten produces two copies of Red Dwarf one, with all the good aspects and one with all the bad. The power surge destroys the original, and the crew plan to reverse the process and combine the two alternate dwarfs and recreate the original, but they hadn't planned on their evil copies trying to stop them.
