No Peace for the Wicked

Series 2, episode 6

Written by Dick Clement, Ian La Frenais

Directed by Sydney Lotterby

Originally Aired On: Friday, 28 November 1975

The second series of the classic comedy starring Ronnie Barker as Fletch. 'Porridge' is slang for a jail sentence and habitual offender Norman Stanley Fletcher is doing five years of it. He whiles away the time sharing his wealth of experience with his fellow inmates, particularly naive, young first-timer Lennie, whom Fletch takes under his fatherly wing. It's Saturday afternoon and everyone is supposed to be wrapped up in their respective activities. Fletch wants to take advantage of this and have a nice quiet afternoon in his cell on his own. His plans are thwarted however by a hilarious succession of cons disturbing him.
