Peep Show is an offbeat sitcom, following the lives of Mark Corrigan (David Mitchell) and Jeremy Osborne (Robert Webb), two flatmates who have been friends since university.

Mark is a loan manager whose pessimistic attitude towards life had him living alone until his highly optimistic friend Jeremy - seemingly always out of work - moved in after he split from his girlfriend. The show follows their lives as they attempt to make it in their various career paths and relationships.

As the show has progressed, Mark started dating a work colleage. Sophie (Oliva Colman) eventually became his fiancee and they even walked down the aisle, but nothing - least of all love - ever runs smoothly. Meanwhile Jeremy has tried his hand at being a pop star, forming a band with Super Hans (Matt King).

The programme is unusual in that the events of the two main characters' lives are nearly always seen from their own points of view, with accompanying monologues. To emphasise this more, scenes in the show are often filmed using cameras strapped to the lead actors' heads.
