It's boy meets girl, boy meets boy, girl meets girl and every combination in between in the high-speed world of skating, cycling, cellphones, emails, cafes and shopping of contemporary London life. Kwame (Noel Clarke) is 17, beautiful, and terminally straight, with raging hormones. He is struggling with all the insecurities of any adolescent boy. His gay dad Max (Rikki Beadle-Blair) is superdad, supermum, the original bitch on wheels who is trying to stay young. Kwame really wants Max to get back together his other dad, Jordan (Karl Collins) - while he'd like to get together with the lovely 17-year-old Asha (Rebecca Varney). Focusing on Kwame's immediate family, his father and their friends, lovers and relatives, Metrosexuality explores the extended 21st century family of today. Rikki Beadle Blair wrote, directs, composes and acts in this series which also stars Mat Fraser. Some of the cast members have worked with Rikki for over 20 years; some are related to each other in real life and play the same roles in the series. Rikki says of Metrosexuality: "I wanted to portray life at its best in big, bold technicolour, not the grimy exterior that is so often associated with lives in Britain." Channel 4's Commissioning Editor, Adam Barker says: "I commissioned Metrosexuality because of its vivid and funny take on the sexual and mating dilemmas of today. Rikki and his team offer a unique viewpoint on polyracial, polysexual Britain." Eighteen original tracks from the series will be released on CD on Monday 19 February, and the complete series of Metrosexuality will be released on video on Monday 5 March. Main Cast
