Ted is knocked over by a taxi after trying to break up with Stella. His friends tell Barney what has happened to Ted but before they can tell him that Ted is ok, he hangs up and dashes out to the hospital. Barney is knocked over by a bus going the wrong way and breaks all his bones in his body. Ted is touched by his friend's concern and he and Barney become friends again. Stella breaks up with Ted when she realises that he meant to break up with her before the accident. Ted rushes to see her at the zoo where she's taken her daughter and proposes to her with a toy dinosaur. Series finale
