After a humiliating press conference for the Councilwoman Janet Eldridge, at which Sam physically threw Diane out the door, Janet demands that Sam make a definite commitment - and she's talking about marriage. While Sam is making a valiant attempt to be part of Janet's political career, Diane poses as a reporter at the press conference and heckles Sam until he loses his temper.
