Having been coaxed and cajoled by her mother, Bridget auditions for her school's dramatisation of the story of Anne Frank. However, after reading Anne's diary, Bridget begins to question whether she is right for the role. Rory becomes besotted by a dummy named Skeevy, an affair which perturbs the rest of his family.
