John Ratzenberger and Shelley Long, renowned for their Cheers characters Cliff and Diane, guest-star as bumbling neighbours Fred and Mary Ellen Doyle. The Hennessy family is invited to the Doyles' daughter's wedding, a move that shocks Paul and Cate. The kids are experiencing their own problems, with Rory indulging in a little cross-dressing in order to meet girls and Kerry hiding local hottie Donny's past life as a geek.
