After a female character in the latest virtual reality game apparently kills a computer game designer, Mulder and Scully are sent to investigate. Soon another developer meets a grizzly end at the hands of the woman and no one seems to know where she came from, or do they? When Mulder enters the game in an attempt to rescue a group that has gone in to fix the game, he gets trapped in the game space when the module closes. Trapped inside the game with a rather trigger happy woman he must fight for survival and his only hope lies in Scully and the woman's creator, but will it be too late for them all?
