In the small Oklahoma town of Connerville, four young people have recently been killed by lightning. When Mulder and Scully investigate this statistical improbability, they discover that the lightning does not strike at random, but with a deadly purpose. Darin Peter Oswald survived a lightning strike and has developed the ability to harness its power. Mulder and Scully must find not only Oswald, but also his next target.
