SG-1 find themselves in the midst of battle when they travel to a planet inhabited by soldiers engaged in deadly war games with an SG team assumed to be missing SG-11. However all is not well when SG-11 turn on SG-1 and the team wake in the soldiers' training camp where the leader assumes they are a rival team until he recognizes Teal'c as Jaffa. The SG-11 captain tells SG-1 that they have been told to practice battle with 'play' weapons until Apophis returns, for safety. When told that Apophis is dead the team don't believe it and carry on battling but, unfortunately SG-1's real weapons have some how wound up on the field with disasterous consequences.
