O'Neill, Teal'c, and Daniel join an exchange programme with Orban. While Daniel and Teal'c study the ancient mosaic pattern on the floor of the Orban Stargate and Teal'c shares his knowledge of the Goa'uld with the Orbanians just in case they come to this planet. Meanwhile O'Neill is accompanying Merrin (an Orbanian girl), her chaperone and their Naquadah reactor back to Earth. The more time the team spend with Merrin the more they realise that she has a very high intelligence which has stunted her development of fun and being a typical teenager so O'Neill decides to take her off base and show her what she, and the other Orbanian kids have been missing.
