When, on the planet Edora during their annual 'Fire Rain' (meteor shower), SG-1 discover that the planet is at risk of being directly bombarded by meteors so start an evacuation process. However when O'Neill goes in search of the planet's leader's (Liara) son, the Stargate is hit and buried, trapping O'Neill, Liara and her son on the planet. Both sides deal with the loss while struggling, desperately to find a way of correcting it.
