SG-1 arrive on PX3989. On arrival the team are zapped by an electrical trap sending them into unconsciousness. When they come round, they find themselves in an underground laboratory with a strange native called Harlan who says that he is 11,000 years old. Harlan has not only treated their injuries but he claims that he has improved their overall abilities. They return to Earth where they discover that they are in fact robots with the consciousness of the team members and will run out of power unless they return to the planet. Here they find that Harlan is mystified that the team want their mortal bodies back and try and convince them that what they now have is better.
