An automated distress call from a Vulcan starship is detected and the ship is found in an asteroid field. Archer, T'Pol, Reed and Hawkins attempt a rescue mission, but become trapped onboard and have to fend off the Vulcan crew, who have gone insane and become very violent. And if they don't return to Enterprise soon, the same thing will happen to T'Pol. Meanwhile, Trip and Mayweather try to get Trellium ore from an asteroid.
