When Archer leads an away team to study a crashed Xindi-Insectoid ship, he finds all of the adult Insectoids have died but the hatchery remains intact. Archer decides the crew must make sure the Insectoid offspring hatch safely and survive, in order to prove to the Xindi that humans really do care. But as Archer goes to increasingly extreme lengths to save the Xindi eggs, some of the crew decide that his behaviour is putting Enterprise at risk.
