The adventures of a team of Starfleet officers on a 24th-century space station. Worf's brother Kurn arrives with the news that since Worf sided with the Federation against the Klingon Empire, Kurn and his family are outcasts. Having lost everything, Kurn can only regain his honour through the Maukto'Vor - a death ritual which only Worf can perform.
