Judy sits in her televised dock as she listens to regular people's quibbles with their ex-partners, parents, children, business partners, best friends, etc

Such arguments have included :

* A father facing off against his son who failed to repay him for a DUI bail out.

* Former lovers clash over personal belongings and illegal check cashing.

* Girlfriends squabble over who is liable for damages in a drunk-driving accident.

* A married man demanding that his former fiancée return the engagement ring he brought her.

* Seattle college students clashing over expenses incurred whilst living together

However the final say is Judy's and whatever it is *must* be abided by.
