Cops takes you to the streets to witness real police in action as they confront the crime gripping a nation's cities and comfort the victims of violence. Mobile cameras follow these real-life cops around the clock, with no restrictions on taping. During off-duty hours, the camera goes behind the scenes to capture the effects of the job on their personal lives. Cops has followed high profile drug smuggling in Southern Florida, homicide detectives in Los Angeles and prostitution in Las Vegas. Cops has also travelled internationally, capturing the universal struggle against violence and crime. No matter where they are, the men and women in law enforcement face a constant battle to protect and serve while struggling for respect, co-operation and compassion. Cops shows that these hopes and fears are genuine and so is the action. In this week's episode, officers in the Vice Unit arrest an alleged drug dealer, whilst others stop the driver and passengers of a stolen vehicle as well as three robbery suspects.
