i agree with what they are saying about celebritys who take drugs especially the likes of pete doherty it amazes me how he gets away with it everytime he goes to court, if it was anybody else it would be different. we wouldnt get a second or third time how many times is he going to get away with it

I am horrified to think that neighbours did nothing when they saw those children eating breadcrumbs and did nothing about it. We have a duty as parents, never mind whose children they belong, to report anything that we think that a child is in danger. I am utterly disgusted that no one did in this case...poor children.

I know casual and laid back is the name of the game for News broadcasts now but I think it is sinking very low indeed to hear a professional correspondent(Daisy McAndrew) use the phrase "that is stating the bleeding obvious" on today's broadcast. Wash your mouth out Daisy!

Could someone please ask Alastair to stop shouting. No wonder Katie has taken up conducting (let's hope she soon learns how to bring about pianissimo!)

On the ITV lunchtime news on 22nd October 2008, they did a report about what makes people happy. Unfortunately the doorbell rang at the end of the programme and I missed the article. Please could you tell me what conclusions they made. Thanking you.

As an ordinary English, retired lecturer, mother of three, grandmother to three, I was horrified to see a masked man ranting and insulting others on the lunch time news. Surely the fact that he wore a mask indicates he is hiding something. Why do you think it acceptable to give air time to such a person, whoever he represents.

Eleanor Simmonds the youngest person to get an M.B.E. from the Queen today for her great performance winning two gold medals at the Paralympic Games at Beijing got a make-over on the programme "This Morning" yesterday and she looked lovely. I made a point of watching the news today to see her. How surprising that she did not warrant a mention on the I.T.V. News at lunchtime, but glad to see the B.B.C. News got their priorities right and gave her a glowing and much deserved spot on their Lunchtime News.

    Pull up your socks I.T.V.

I saw lunchtime news today-10.06.09 about blackbirds attacking people in a Californian City. There maybe far more dramatic footage taken by ITV about 2004. I was attacked on 2 separate occasions by a buzzard at Holsworthy, N. Devon. A camera crew came out and interviewed me. A few days later 2 schoolboys went out to the same site with a bike and a video camera. The cyclist inevitably got attacked and the other boy got it all shown on video. It was shown on ITV the very same evening. It was extremely frightening. Its claws drew blood. The RSPB said it was defending its chicks in the nest. We were not the only ones attacked. I believe it was about a dozen people who were.

I would like to say how disgusted i was when the news at one had video images of the young soldier being taken of the helicopter and into the amberlance from last nights killing of more of our soldiers.

I know as a mother i would not want to see things like that after being told the worst news ever. I do have a son that has served over there and i cant think of anything worse then seeing them images, please have some respect for our soldiers and their familys
