The new name for HBOS is to be Lloyds Halifax and to be based in London i.e. Bank of Scotland has been erased from history. Considering it has been reported that Gordon Brown struck a deal with the Lloyds chairman earlier in the week before share fall, it would not surprise me if this was not speculators that lead to the downfall but collusion with approval to specifically attack HBOS shares for takeover of one of Scotland's biggest companies and tax revenues.
