So many times, we see the people of Wooton Basset lining the streets to pay homage to our young men who have died trying to bring peace to an unstable area.

Honours are dished out to sportsmen, captains of industry and civil servants. What about a town that represents those of us who are unable to stand beside them? Surly it wouldn't be seen as favouritism to award Wooton Basset with a Royal Charter, something that I believe would eco the sentiments of us all.

    Kindest Regards.
