    Surely it's better for some of the elephants to wear a collar rather than not be tracked and instead leaving them to the poachers!

    Jasmine, maybe you should watch the documentary to see why the collars are worn by some of the elephants. It's not like they are in a zoo! If after watching you still have the same opinion, then maybe it is you who needs to wear a collar, bearing in mind there is no otherway currently to track them due to the thickness of their skin. It's all there to save elephant lives and it only impacts them negatively. In an Ideal world elephants should not need protection, but in reality they do, so put up with it!!
