Can't wait to see Spring Watch all the beautiful wild life. Simon King is so interesting and shows his dedication, love and respect for nature. Bill and Kate will need lots of patience watching the birds and little creatures. Keep up the good work.

We have a robin's nest in our plant planter outside front of house. There are 3 chicks - the parents seem to have stopped sitting on the nest, but still come to feed. How long would the chicks take before leaving the nest?

I am very sorry to hear that Bill Oddie is leaving Springwatch and Autumnwatch, he is such an expert on wildlife especially birds, his prowess in this field makes him one of our best presenters on wildlife programmes. His association with Kate Humble I always liked they were like kindred spirits in my opinion, I think Bill will be an hard act to follow. I do like the others in the programmes Simon, Kate, Chris, and Martin, whom I haven't really seen before and Gordon with his lovely quite manner. I am sure Springwatch and Autumnwatch will still be good at bringing wildlife and the countryside into our homes, Bill was said to be smutty at times but I don't think he meant any harm he just tried to bring humour into the programmes. I do hope Bill is ok and hasn't had any depression of late, I know he suffers in this area, good luck Bill I will miss you on Springwatch and Autumnwatch.

Dear Team. I heard two cuckoos in the field behind my house in Faringdon, Oxfordshire on May 27th/28th. Nothing since then. By the way. Cuckoos usually cuck on a major 3rd which goes down to a minor 3rd as the season progresses.
These two were on a Major 3rd and a perfect 4th (I'm a musician!) But I have heard them call on 5ths in some years.
Hope this is helpful. Post code SN7 8AU
