Running Time: 10 minutes (approx)

It's now 108 days until Home and Away debuts on 5, and it won't be a moment too soon for all us soap fanatics. With an audience in excess of 60 million viewers worldwide, the show continues to go from strength to strength.

Home and Away's strong storylines have cemented its place in viewers' hearts. Who can

forget Frank proposing to Bobby over fish and chips served on a silver platter; the tragic car wreck that killed Sophie's school teacher boyfriend David (Memento star Guy Pearce); the discovery that Donald Fisher and nasty Morag were Bobby's natural parents; Rebecca and Travis' wedding; Marilyn and Donald Fisher's unlikely romance; or bad guy Dodge's death on Jump Rock?

As Kate Ritchie, who has starred as Sally Fletcher since the very first episode some 14 years ago, says: "I am so proud to be part of Home and Away since its conception" we are obviously doing something right." You sure are, Kate.. keep up the good work!

In Australia, the show is set to mark its 3000th episode with some monster storylines. While we

will have to wait to find out what these are, there is no shortage of excitement coming our way when the series resumes - in the middle of the Ashes test series between England and Australia, which should make this year's a thoroughly antipodean summer.

We first have to discover whether Sally marries her flirtatious fiancé, Kieran; how her surfer-dude ex Vinnie's relationship with her flatmate Leah develops; and if classmates Gypsy and Edward will wreck the fledgling romance between their parents, policeman Joel and headmistress Anna.
