This final part looks at how the Pre-Raphaelites had outgrown the avant-garde in their later years and began to embrace fame and fortune with art designed to please the masses. In so doing, they attained riches and celebrity and were the forefathers of the commercial modern artist.

    Loved the fact that at last a programme on the fabulous art of the pre-Raphaelites has been made!! Well done BBC. Would have been nice to see a more docu-drama feel to the programme with lush scenery/costumes to tie-in with the paintings themselves, but maybe I am jumping ahead & episodes 2 & 3 will reflect this?! I await with anticipation...........
