In my humble opinion the finest Documentary on War since The World at War in the 70"s. Extremely moving. War tends to brings out the best and the worst in Humanity.I think it should be shown in Schools..

I agree with everyone's comments.I'm finding it hard to locate a dvd copy - can anyone assist?

Probably the most moving war doc I have seen - what strikes me most is the emotion still shown by these old boys when describing their experiences 80 years later - ultimate respect!!!An invaluable record

The best WW1 doc i have ever seen, if not ever, the World at War was just fantastic doc about the second world war, but this doc places an emotion to the people, relationships, communities, that non have covered before. brings tears to your eyes hearing some of the accounts, i still cant stop thinking of tha lady whose boyfriend went of to fight 'i never thought he wouldnt comeback' haunting and places a human perspective to a truly unhuman time. Wheres the DVD?!!!

No one seems to know the composer and the name of the theme music from this fabulous programme, In my opinion it has to be one of the most poignant and haunting pieces I have heard, It has elements of Vaughan Williams and Elgar but I dont think it is either of them.

Its so frustrating because the makers of the documentary Testamony films refuse to answer my Emails I guess they have no concept of good public relations.

The music score for this programme is absoloutely amazing and I would love to know any information as to wether it is availible . The programme is one of the best I have seen and I would love to see this out on DVD . Anyone out there that can help I would very much appreciate it . Shame that no one appears to respond to requests when contacting the film makers .That is a great shame , surely the whole idea was to remind us what these people went through and allow us all to have some record if it .

Ladies and gentleman , for those of you wishing to know the details of the music score I have managed to find out some information through a friend of mine . He writes music scores for adverts etc and I asked him if he could help. Here are the details.

Composer is Terry Devine King and the title of the music score is called PASSAGE OF TIME. Unfortunately it is not availible on DVD but it can be downloaded by visiting www.audionetworkplc.com. There are about seven different scores with slight variations to the title music something my good friend tells me is usual for composers to produce. Many thanks .

My son and I caught one program of the series and we sat there all the way through it.(a tribute to the program, in itself!)what a fantastic and moving account of the 1st world war. I would like to own it on DVD, so that when we get wrapped up in the petty rigors of day to day life, we can watch it and thank God, how lucky we really are.
