The Scrappy Races: Fire Fighters

Series 1, episode 0

Four teams of madcap mechanics had six weeks and just £1,500 to build multi-tasking vehicles to race them across Britain. They've now started their epic 1,000-mile road trip and must tackle the greatest challenges man and Mother Nature can throw at them. The teams race from the Yorkshire Dales to the dockyards of Newcastle, where they have just eight hours to convert their roadworthy road hogs into ice cool fire trucks to tackle a boatyard blaze. This madcap motorcade consists of home county bobbies the Cops and Bodgers in a hot rodded panda car complete with prison cell, suburban bovver boys the Knuckleheadz in an SAS-style dune buggy, Scottish engineers the Tartan Starlets in a mini limo, and reigning champs the Chaos Crew in a V8-powered ice cream van. The teams have three cargo fires to fight; who will extinguish them all the quickest and win maximum points towards the Scrappy Races championship?
