Wallace and Gromit In The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit (2005)Written by Nick Park, Bob BakerDirected by Steve Box, Nick ParkRunning Time: 82 minutes (approx)Production Year: 2005Rating: U CertificateProduction Country: UKFilmed in ColourA claymation classic - and an Oscar and Bafta winner to boot - for some this is Wallace and Gromit's finest hour as the plucky duo do battle with a giant rabbit that's threatening to eat all the town's oversized veg. Inventor Wallace and his faithful sidekick Gromit are pushed to the limit as they try to fathom out who - or what - is behind the menace that threatens to ruin the forthcoming village fete. Despite some obvious commercial touches and some occasionally heavy-handed innuendo, there's some lovely touches here - such as the Smug fridge and the HOP 21T number plate on the duo's van. Directors Nick Park and Steve Box are well on form, the script is great, and overall this is a hilarious, beautifully executed film. Essential viewing.
