Joanne Kilbourn's (Wendy Crewson) latest case centres on the murder of Judge Marcia Blackwell. When Detective Alex Emanual's investigation leads him to ex convict Wayne Waters, Kilbourn is convinced there is more to it, and that he is not the prime suspect. A tip off involving a young delinquent who disappeared on the night of the murder holds to key to discovering Marcia Blackwell's dreadful secret, and the killer.
