Archaeologist Kale (Luke Goss) finds that some things are better left buried, when he uncovers a 900-year-old chamber. Before he can say "It's behind you", a creature inside has escaped to terrorise a remote corner of New Mexico. After a truck jackknifes on the highway outside town, local sheriff Annie (Emmanuelle Vaugier) realises not only that the creature is preying on the townsfolk, but that the crashed vehicle has cut off their one escape route...

A primitive horror that draws together a cast that any prehistoric predator would slaver at: blonde model Beau Garrett, Bros/Blade hybrid Goss, former Maxim covergirl Vaugier and Eddie Murphy's older brother.
