When fifteen-year-old Matt Freeman gets his girlfriend pregnant, her family decide to put the baby up for adoption, Matt agrees. But when the baby is born and Matt sees his new daughter for the first time, he makes the biggest and most self-sacrificing decision of his life. Although he has agreed to sign the baby away for adoption, Matt knows that he can never give her up. Whatever the changes he had to make in his life, he is determined to be an effective and loving father. And in the light of this life-altering event, Matt's family rallies around to help, taking enormous pride in his unexpected devotion and maturity as he deals with one of the great trials of life.
