Richard Donner's film is a neat time travel action romp, based on Michael Crichton's novel. A group of students, studying a medieval site, find their professor has gone missing. Shadowy tech-company head Robert Doniger explains why: a dodgy time machine he developed has trapped the professor in 14th-century France. His only hope of rescue is if the students go back to the time of war, disease and sudden violence to rescue him. Edited for language/violence.
